SOUL LINE DANCE TERMS COMMONLY USED



STOMP:

Foot is put down flat with force. 

Dance we do it in:  Goodfoot, Sha’Ron, Rollin in the Deep, Zydeco Slide, Moe, Nik Wu


 
WEAVE: 

We say:  Over, under, over (going either to the right or to the left).  Dance we do it in:  Stroll Along Cha Cha, Stop the Madness, Toma and Walkin’


 
ROCKING CHAIR:
In Philly, we just say, step up and step back.  Dance we do it in:  Loose Booty, Busta Slide, Bring it Back and Ballroom Cha Cha


 
GRAPEVINE:

Walk to the right or left.  Dances we do it in: Marvin Gaye Walk, Down South Shuffle and Morning After
